For some strange, psychotic reason the title of Leona Lewis' new single, 'Happy' could be classed as pretty ironic. 'How?!' - i hear you cry so enthusiastically. Could it simply be because the lyrics reflect an event which is generally considered to be unhappy? Or might it be due to the fact the song is rather ballad-esque instead of the bouncy, up-tempo number the title so blatantly infers, perhaps? 'Tell us!' - you scream excitedly. Alright, gather round. Amidst all of the hype the song has produced, 'Happy' can be summed up in three solemnly honest syllables:
FUCK-ING SHITE.
Although, to defend myself against accusations of a potentially biased, small-minded review, Leona does have an incredible voice - and i must say, i found the game of 'Spot the Difference' thoroughly entertaining (right, there's 'Halo' by Beyonce, 'Battlefield' by Jordin Sparks, 'Already Gone' by Kelly Clarkson... oh no, they're practically the same.) Darn.
'Happy' is available for purchase on the 15th of September, followed by the album, 'Echo' which is scheduled for release on November 16th.
